BrainSpoke, a BrainTech company that supports the visualization and optimization of individual mental states by measuring brainwave activity with a wearable headset and analyzing it using AI, has established a Japanese subsidiary in Setagaya, Tokyo

BrainSpoke provides a system that continuously measures brainwave data using a headset designed for comfortable, long-term use in everyday life, and analyzes that data with AI to enable real-time understanding of otherwise invisible mental states such as focus, stress, and fatigue.

Based on objective indicators of brain signal activity—such as Alpha(α), Theta(Θ), Beta(β), Gamma(γ), and Delta(δ) waves, which are interpreted as indicators of relaxation, concentration, and fatigue —AI estimates an individual’s mental state and provides personalized guidance, including meditation and breathing techniques, to help return the mind to its optimal condition. By monitoring whether users follow these recommendations and feeding back changes in mental state, the system supports performance optimization through stress reduction and the maintenance and reproducibility of focused states.

In establishing its Japanese subsidiary, BrainSpoke Japan Inc., JETRO’s Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided support including consultation on company registration and bank account opening, as well as information on professional service providers.

Going forward, the company plans to expand the use of its technology in the mental health and wellness space in Japan through proof-of-concept collaborations with universities and other academic institutions, as well as partnerships with corporations. In addition to launching its own e-commerce platform, the company is actively seeking sales partners and distributors, and is also exploring adoption as part of corporate employee wellness programs. Through the growing adoption of its Neuro-science-based products in the Japanese market, the company is expected to contribute to improved individual performance and corporate productivity.
